Stargazing Hike with Third Eye Headlamps and RAD.travel
Come enjoy a night time hike under high desert stars at southern California's largest non-profit wilderness area, Pioneertown Mountains Preserve. Guided by Ranger Kerry Puckett, we'll be making our way up Pipes Canyon wash to the historic Olsen ruins, a miner's homestead and site of his untimely murder (the story will be told at the ruins). Round trip distance is 3.5 miles, and elevation gain is minimal. Bring a warm jacket and trail suitable footwear. After the hike, meet back at Pappy & Harriet's for food, drinks and a concert!
For those going on the hike, pickup your Third Eye Headlamp during Desert & Denim for a discount of 30%. There will be additional prizes awarded on the trail!
This event is free, but we kindly recommend making a donation to the Pioneertown Mountains Preserve parent organization, The Wildlands Conservancy. You can do that by clicking on this link: Donate Now. No amount is too small.
